RODMAN GETTING HITCHED?: Dennis Rodman says he's tying the knot today. His stripper girlfriend isn't so sure.

"Dennis has proposed to me a million times," Stacy Yarborough told the Daily News for a story in today's editions. "But he's just going through so much right now. His life is out of control.

"I'm just saying, if I said, `Yes,' I think I'd just be setting myself up for one heartache after another."

The Chicago Bulls star said Tuesday on "The Late Show With David Letterman" that he is getting married at 12:30 p.m. today in Rockefeller Center.

Rodman, sporting green hair, fishnet pants, and black fingernail polish, did not identify Yarborough, saying only that "She's a beautiful and intelligent girl."

The Daily News said Rodman proposed Saturday night after Yarborough, who also has been linked to rock star David Lee Roth, got off stage at the Manhattan club where she works.

Rodman, 35, won his fifth consecutive rebounding title last season. He signed a one-year contract this month for more than $8 million.

"I'm kind of burned out at this point," he told Letterman. "After this year I might retire."

Rodman also plugged a film, "The Colony," in which he says he co-stars with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Mickey Rourke, and his book, "Bad As I Want to Be."

The Daily News said Rodman planned to wear a wedding dress - complete with veil - to a midtown book signing today.

Meanwhile in Salt Lake City, a Delta Center usher has filed a suit seeking $750,000 in damages against Rodman, claiming he humiliated her by pinching her on the buttocks during an NBA game.

Lavon Ankers, an usher at the May 5, 1994, game between San Antonio and Utah, alleges Rodman chased a loose ball out of bounds, then pinched her buttocks while returning to the court.
