Dallas will be the inaugural championship site for the 16-team Western Athletic Conference, with new member Southern Methodist playing host to the combined men's and women's cross country on Nov. 2, the league announced Thursday.
Women's soccer will follow on Nov. 6-9, with the top four finalists from each division meeting at the site of the Pacific Division champion.Men's soccer is set for Nov. 16, with the top two finishers at the site of the regular-season champion.
The inaugural WAC volleyball tournament will be Nov. 26-30 at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas, with the top four teams from each division, plus four at-large selections participating.
The WAC football championship game matching the two divisional winners will be Dec. 7 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas.
The winter sport championships start Feb. 20-22 at Air Force Academy, with men's and women's indoor track and field. Women's swimming and diving follows on Feb. 27-March 1 at the Palo Alto Community College Natatorium in San Antonio, Texas.
The WAC men's and women's basketball tournament, featuring the top six teams from each division, will be March 3-8 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, with the women beginning play March 3, and the men March 4.
The men's swimming and diving championship is set for March 6-8 in San Antonio, while the wrestling championship will be in Laramie, Wyo., on March 8.
In the spring, Rice will play host to the men's golf championship in Houston April 21-23, while the women's championship will be in Dallas at SMU on the same dates.
Texas Christian will welcome the men's tennis tournament April 23-26, and the six-team baseball tournament will be May 14-17 at a site to be determined.
The men's and women's outdoor track and field championship will be May 21-24 at San Diego State.
