Question: I have relished watching David Suchet on the PBS "Mystery!" series "Poirot." Recently I watched "Harry & The Hendersons" on TV and could swear that David Suchet played a part in the movie. Am I crazy? How could such a professional go from one extreme to the other? Could you please tell me what Suchet is currently filming?

- K., Las Vegas, Nev.Answer: Making the Steven Spielberg-produced Bigfoot comedy probably seemed like a good career gamble to the Royal Shakespeare Company member back in 1987. Not only was the movie backed by Spielberg, it starred respected stage and film actor John Lithgow. Unfortunately, the movie flopped, but Suchet got good reviews for his role as villain Jacques Le Fleur. Agatha Christie's "Poirot" came along for Suchet in 1990. He starred in 45 "Poirot" cases before the series was canceled last year.

Now he's playing the class clown turned guardian angel in ABC's new sitcom.

Question: I really enjoyed watching the season premiere of "Between Brothers." My mom and I can't agree on what show Dondre T. Whitfield has appeared. She thinks it's "All My Children"; I think it's "The Young & the Restless."

- L.B., Sacramento, Calif.

Answer: Though he began his career in prime-time television (in a "Cosby" show episode), Whitfield has starred in two daytime dramas. He played Jesse Lawrence on "Another World" and Terrence Frye on "All My Children." A Brooklyn native, Whitfield began his training at the La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York City.

Question: I would like to know more about good-looking Jason Gedrick ("Murder One," "EZ Streets," "The Last Don"). I noticed that he did little or no promoting of the recent CBS mini-series, "The Last Don." Hopefully, it was because he was hard at work on new projects.

- S.J., Dallas, Texas

Answer: Gedrick got his acting start while still a high school student in Chicago - as an extra in the Sean Penn movie "Bad Boys." He cut his college studies short to star in "Zoo Gang."
