Draper Bank & Trust will open a new branch Monday at 195 E. 6100 South near Fashion Place Mall in Murray.
Robert M. Daugherty, president, said the opening is the first expansion of Draper Bank in 14 years.Daugherty said the bank plans to open another branch early next year in Peterson's Foodtown in Riverton.
Draper Bank has branches in Draper, Sandy, West Jordan and South Jordan. It has assets of $224 million.
The new full-service Murray branch has seven employees. It will operate weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with drive-up service until 9 p.m.
Branch manager Lee A. Brown said the 5,000-square-foot bank's Murray location opens up new marketing opportunities for Draper Bank.
Brown said the 33-year-old bank is the "leading home construction lender in the Salt Lake Valley and the state of Utah."
