The Fairbanks, Alaska, post office, which includes the North Pole station, is once again offering its special North Pole postmark to customers mailing cards and letters this holiday season.

This year's postmark features a picture of Santa Claus with the words "Seasons Greetings," North Pole, AK 99705.Customers wishing to receive the special postmark should do the following: Address and apply postage stamps to the envelope on which they wish to have the postmark. Place these envelopes in a larger envelope or container. Include a note requesting the postmark. Then mail the container to: North Pole Cancellations, U.S. Postal Service, 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, AK 99709-9998.

Postal Service officials recommend that large orders of addressed and stamped envelopes be sent via priority or express mail.

The cards will be postmarked with the North Pole cancellation and enter the mail stream at Fairbanks. Postmarked cards will not be returned to customers for mailing from their own town. Orders will be accepted through Dec. 24.
