Jason Richard Laxman returned to the loving arms of his beloved Redeemer on a glorious Christmas morning, December 25th, l997.
He was born February 5, l977, to Richard and Diane Laxman. He graduated from Bingham High School in l995 as a valedictorian, and later attended BYU.During his short, yet full, life he touched the hearts of many. He served as a Spanish-speaking missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the San Bernardino, California mission. While there he formed deep and loving friendships with many of the members, missionaries and converts in that area. He served his mission with all his might, mind, and strength.
Returning home two months early due to illness, he endured his suffering with the greatest of patience.
He loved mountains, hiking, classical music, and people. Jason will always be remembered with deep love and admiration by all those who knew him.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, David, and Daniel; sister, Michelle; grandparents, John and Jean Laxman, and Harry and Cleo Butcher; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services Monday, December 29th, 12 noon, Mountainview Stake Center, 2901 West 9000 South, West Jordan. Friends and family may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, on Sunday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and also on Monday at the Stake Center, 10:45-11:45 a.m., prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
In lieu of floral offerings, the family requests that donations be made to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
