The total number of students enrolled at Southern Utah University has reached an all-time winter quarter high.

"Our official third-week report to the state Board of Regents shows a winter quarter enrollment of 5,512 students. That's up by a solid 9 percent over winter quarter last year," D. Mark Barton, assistant vice president of student services, said."Other indicators - in addition to the total number of students - in the report are also very positive for the university. For example, we have more students in every class."

This quarter's enrollment is up 440 students over winter quarter of 1996.
