SME Steel Contractors, 5955 W. Wells Park Road, a steel fabrication and erection company, has signed an agreement to purchase 100 percent of the stock of Mark Steel Corp., 1230 W. 200 South, a fabricator of structural and plate steel for commercial and industrial users.

The merged companies will have annual sales of more than $100 million and with 500 employees will be one of the largest steel fabrication and erection companies in the West.
