Former construction industry leader Wilford Cornell Clyde, 82, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Clyde was president and chairman of the board of W.W. Clyde and Co. and was deeply involved in developing major parts of Utah's highways and roads. He also participated in a joint venture during the construction of the office building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the ZCMI Center.Mr. Clyde had been president and vice president of the Associated General Contractors Utah Chapter, which recognized him with the Eric Ryberg Award.

Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, March 22 at the Springville LDS Stake Center, 245 S. 600 East, Springville. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 South, Springville, and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the stake center. Interment will be at Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
