The City Council Tuesday will discuss a proposed $8,175,000 bond to build a new City Hall, a recreation center and begin renovation on the old Draper Park School.
The city is considering a lease-revenue bond, which does not require a vote of the people but must be paid off by local property owners over 20 years. The money would be used primarily to build a new city hall on municipal property on 300 East. This has been a controversial issue in Draper for several years. City officials have been unable to decide whether to build a new City Hall or restore the 1910 Draper Park School that currently houses city offices.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Draper City Hall.
