Santiago `Sam` Compos Gallegos, 83, passed away on June 14, 1997.

Born on May 14, 1914 in Petaca, New Mexico to Juan and Feliz Gallegos. Married Inez Armijo November 9, 1940, she preceded him in death. Latter Married Barbara Bullet. Retired from Kennecott Copper after 28 years. Served in the Army in World War II, with an honorable discharge. Dad's fondest love was for his children and grandchildren. He loved gardening, fishing, cooking, and most of all the love he gave for his family and friends, and family gatherings.Survived by wife, Barbara; son Moises (Sue) Gallegos; daughters, Angie (Wendell) Erickson; Lilly (Bob) Kofoed; Margie (Mike) Francis; Dee (Marv) Rollins; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, John Gallegos; sisters, Mary Goumeneas, Eufelia Armijo, Dora Trujillo, and Grace Lucero.

Preceded in death by son, James Gallegos and great-grandson, James Rollins.

We love you and will miss you very much.

Funeral Mass Thursday, June 19, 10 a.m., St. Therese Catholic Church, 75 East Lennox, Midvale. Rosary and Vigil Service will be Wednesday evening at the church, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 9-10 a.m. Burial, Redwood Memorial Estates.
