Models have little to sell once they give up selling those lips, those eyes, that nose, that walk. The most enterprising of them, like Anna Bayle, look for ways to market what they learned peddling the clothes of top designers. Bayle, she of that tiptoe walk, has introduced a signature collection of lipsticks.

Bayle was the only top Asian model in Europe and the United States in the 1980s. The lipstick colors used on her for shows for designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein rarely suited her dark Filipino complexion."I would blend beige or yellow foundation, or I'd use an eye pencil," she said. "The line has been formulated for Polynesian skin-type Asians, but not white Asians." Her lipstick is sold at Henri Bendel in New York and Fred Segal in Los Angeles.
