Raymond Boyce Jacobs, 71, beloved father, grandfather and friend will be missed.

Born March 17, 1926 to Raymond F. Jacobs and Rhea M. Boyce in Murray, Utah and died on July 28, 1997. Jaker had many adventures in life. At Granite High School he was an all-state athlete and went on to professional baseball; Richman Colts (1948), Salt Lake Bees (1952). He also served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at his construction company, Por Mor Concrete, until his retirement. His joy of fishing led him to Lake Powell where he was a volunteered for the Nat'l Park Service, working as a campground host at Halls Crossing. He married Virginia (Salisbury) Pearson (1948) and Eddie (Heugly) Jacobs (1960).He is survived by his brother, Glenn (Norma) Jacobs; children, Maureen (Jerry) Knapp, Jackie (Ralph) Adams, Rick (Mary) Jacobs, Jenny (Craig) Allinger, Joe Jacobs, Christine McQueen, Paula Jacobs, Pat (Barbara) Jacobs, Zina Heugly, Ron (Christel) Heugly, Jim (Sharon) Heugly, and 45 grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Earl Jacobs and a granddaughter, Jessica McQueen.

Funeral services will be held Friday August 1, 1997 11 a.m. at the Crescent 10th Ward, 10945 S. 1700 E. Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E. and one hour prior to the service at the ward on Friday. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
