On Friday, August 22, 1997 our beautiful daughter, sister and friend, Amberlyn Kennard answered the call from her loving Father in Heaven to return home; this, despite all science could do and the pleadings of our hearts.

Amberlyn was born in St. George, Utah on the birthday of one of her many hero Uncles, (Uncle A.K.), February 16, 1981 to Joseph Chase and Debera Hodson Kennard. She was a worthy, committed member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Amberlyn loved her family, friends, the gospel and life. She was always happy and positive. She was loved by everyone that she met.

Amberlyn is survived by her parents of Farmington, Utah; her brothers, Richard Frankland, Jared Chase, Joseph Chase Jr., and Robert Hodson Kennard; her special sisters and sidekicks Maria Sue and BethAnne; grandparents, J. Richard and Olive Kynaston Hodson; great-grandmother (Grammy) Beth K. Christensen; and a large, loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Frankland James and Reva Gladys Bischoff Kennard, who now joyously welcome her there.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Farmington Stake Center Chapel, 347 South 200 West, Farmington. Faithful Bishop Boyd Mounteer conducting. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and again Wednesdsay morning at the church from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.

The family expresses appreciation to the LDS Hospital doctors and staff for heroic efforts in Amber's behalf. Thanks be to God for Amber's life and for the last (extra) 10 months.
