William C. Luker, 89, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away December 30, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born January 7, 1908 in Bountiful, Utah, to William and Charlotte Littlewood Luker. Married Lena Jones, June 3, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 12, 1997. An active member of the LDS Church serving the Lord as he served others. He touched many lives during his call as bishop of the Arbor Ward. He loved his service as a Temple worker and as a caring home teacher, lovingly visiting as many as 15 families a month. His life was dedicated to his family and to serving the Lord.He is survived by one son, William Craig (Janice) Luker, three daughters, Bonnie Jean (Kent) Curtis, currently serving as missionaries in Houston, Texas, Dolores (Don) Anderson, and LaVerne Walton; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers Irvin K., Howard E., two sisters Irene Henderson and Deane Knoles. Preceded in death by his wife, three sisters, Marie Clough, Mabel Armitage and Florence Bain.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 1998 in the Jefferson Ward Chapel, 1883 South West Temple. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the church on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
