Leroy Joseph Sato, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997.
Leroy was born Oct. 2, 1929 in San Luis, CO to Joseph Sato and Emilia Montano. Married Virginia Griego in Bingham Canyon on Nov. 9, 1957. He served in the Korean War. He retired from Kennecott Copper.Survived by his wife, Virginia; daughters, Cathy (Ernie) Duran, Midvale; Judy (Michael) Kesler, Anchorage, AK; four grandchildren; sisters, Francesca Joelson, New York; Mary (Severo) Serna, San Luis, CO; Cordy (Will) Kagohara, Denver, CO; Betty (Harley) Wussai, Arizona; brothers, Henry (Ruby), West Jordan; Kenji, Midvale. Preceded in death by father, mother and one sister.
Viewing Friday, Jan. 2, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale. Graveside services at 11 a.m. at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Road.
