Brad Pitt shrugged off all the hype and went back home for a screening of his new movie, "Meet Joe Black."
"I've just been away for quite awhile, traveling a lot of places, and this is my home," the actor said Thursday as flashbulbs popped all around him at a news conference in Springfield, Mo. "I just felt like I wanted to get back and bring something home."The screenings were at Campbell 16 Cine. It's not far from Kickapoo High School, where Pitt once studied and did a little acting.
Bringing the film home proved a boon to local charities, which received $66,750 from the sale of tickets to the film and a reception attended by Pitt.
As for all the hype that goes with being one of Hollywood's hunkiest leading men, Pitt insists he's just a regular guy who happens to make movies.
