Utah-based Wasatch Crest Group Inc. acquired Utah Home Fire Insurance Co. on Oct. 31.
According to a Wasatch Crest press release, the acquisition improves the company's ability to provide employers with worker's compensation, group medical and related insurance products in Utah and surrounding states.Financial details of the transaction were not released.
As a result of the agreement, Utah Home Fire, organized in 1886, will change its name to Wasatch Crest Insurance Company.
