BOULDER CITY, NV/HELPER, UT -- Albert G. Pierotti, age 89, died December 3, 1998 in the Boulder City Hospital in Boulder City, Nevada.
Born March 30, 1909 in Walsenburg, CO to Pete and Angelina Lami Pierotti. Married Dena Vasiranti May 10, 1935 in Walsbenburg, CO; she died Feb. 26, 1963. Married Ruth Dotson May 24, 1973 in Torc, New Mexico.God knew you were suffering, that the hills were hard to climb, so he gently closed your eyes and whispered, "Peace be thine." in tears we watched you sinking, We saw you face away, our hearts were nearly broken you fought so hard to stay. It breaks our hearts to see you go, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home."
Survived by his wife, Ruth Pierotti, Boulder City, NV; son, Vic Pierotti, Helper; daughter, Gloria Ruffini, Torc, N.M.; stepdaughter, Jodell Downs, Torc, N.M.; sisters, Virginia Barttussi, and Julia Supancic, both Walsenburg, CO; brothers, Steve Pierotti, Walsenburg, CO; Mac Pierotti, Salt Lake; Lou Pierotti, Los Alamos, N.M.; two grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dena Pierotti; and step daughter, Sherri Benda.
Member of the Catholic Church. He was employed in the coal mines of Colorado and Utah, and later retired from Castle Gate Local #1681. Retired member WMWA for 65 years. Worked for the Job Corp in Price, Utah. Member Elk's Lodge #1682, Sheriff's Posse, Sierra County, New Mexico. Albert excelled in boxing, baseball, softball, bowling and golf. He loved hunting, fishing and will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Mass was held Dec. 5, 1998, Palm Mortuary in Henderson, NV. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Helper, Utah.
