The Video-Matic Group, a Salt Lake-based video duplication company, has acquired the assets of competitor The Duplication Group, which formerly was known as Cassette Productions.
The Video-Matic Group now will have combined sales of more than $20 million. The acquisition also will triple Video-Matic's production capability.The Duplication Group is a CD replication, software, audio/video duplication and packaging company.
Vide-Matic plans to continue operating out of its headquarters at 2470 S. Redwood Road. The facility will be expanded to consolidate both operations under one roof, and the company will employ an estimated 200 people.

This is Video-Matic's third expansion in the past two years.
