O.J. Simpson had a strange surprise for a British Broadcasting Corp. interviewer.
At the end of a forthcoming TV profile with the BBC, Simpson invited interviewer Ruby Wax to come into a room.The former gridiron great then lunged at Wax, brandishing a banana like a knife, according to Time magazine's April 27 issue. Simpson made a few slashing motions, then leered into the camera.
A BBC spokeswoman said the interview will be aired later this month. The publicly funded BBC acknowledged Sunday it paid Simpson for the interview but said the money went to his fund to pay civil damages.
