Norris Reid Bagley died August 13, 1998 of a heart attack while hiking in the mountains that he loved near his home in Alpine.
Born February 11, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Rodney V. and Vivian Jensen Bagley. He served his country in Vietnam as a naval aviator. He was a pilot with Pan American Airlines for 20 years and the last 10 years with United Airlines. He was an active member in the LDS Church, serving as a Branch President, High Councilman, in the Bishopric, and as a Scoutmaster, but his true love was missionary work. He was kind and friendly to everyone. No one was a stranger to him.He married his eternal sweetheart, Lorraine Howard, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1965. He is also survived by his four children, Ryan, Curt, Kristin and Karen; two grandchildren, Kaitlin and Eric; his siblings, Rodney, Jere and Marilyn; and of course his faithful dogs, Max and Pete.
The love he displayed to his family, extended family and friends will be missed. "Thank you for your example. We love you and look forward to seeing you again."
Funeral Service will be Monday, August 17th at 11 a.m. in the Alpine Mountainville Chapel, 165 North 100 East. Friends may call at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to service. Burial, Alpine City Cemetery. Military rites by VFW, District IV.
