Margaret K. Milliken passed away on January 2, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She grew up in New York City and attended Pratt Institute for art studies in Brooklyn. She later earned a degree and teaching certificate from Columbia University in New York City. She married Harold Milliken in 1935 while teaching art for Syracuse New York Public Schools. She and Harold moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1945 and then to Lake Oswego, Oregon, in 1960. The Millikens remained Oregon until 1995 when they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to be near their daughter, Carol.Margaret was active in the Lake Oswego Garden Club, the LOCAL 14 Arts League, and the Lake Oswego Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Milliken, and her son, Malcolm Milliken. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Milliken and five grandchildren: Stephanie Weiss of Phoenix, Arizona; Christopher Milliken of Cleveland, Ohio; Kevin Milliken of Beal Air Force Base California; Michael Milliken of Almonte Springs, Florida; and Charles Milliken of Boston, Massachusetts.

Memorial services will be held in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Funeral directors, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
