NORMAN ROCKWELL EXHIBITION. A comprehensive exhibit of the art of Norman Rockwell will travel coast-to-coast and be on display at major museums in seven U.S. cities. "Norman Rockwell: Pictures for the American People" is organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass., and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Ford Motor Company is the sponsor. The exhibit features more than 70 of the artist's oil paintings and all 322 of his Saturday Evening Post covers. It will tour from Nov. 1999 through Feb. 2002. It will be at the High Museum in Atlanta Nov. 6, 1999-Jan. 30, 2000. KOREA RAIL PASS. A Korea Rail Pass lets you travel throughout South Korea, seeing the country at eye level. You may make seat reservations at no additional cost, and you'll receive a 50 percent discount for upgrades to first-class or sleeping cars. BUSINESS AS USUAL IN THE BAHAMAS. The islands of the Bahamas report that vacationers are strolling the beaches, teeing-off on golf courses and shopping in the straw market, despite recent hurricanes. The main tourism destinations of Nassau/Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island were spared the major wrath of Hurricane Floyd. The out islands of Andros, Bimini, Exuma and Long Island escaped the fury of the storm. Several properties on Abaco, Eleuthera and Cat Island suffered structural damage. NEVADA SCENIC BYWAY. Angel Lake Road (a k a State Route 231) runs 10 miles southwest of Wells, which is on I-80 50 miles this side of Elko. Turn south off I-80 onto State Route 231. Angel Lake Road winds upward into the East Humboldt Range through sagebrush, pinion, mountain mahogany, aspen and limber pine. Angel Lake is a deep blue oval of water in a glacial cirque.
