BOUNTIFUL--Elise Lamont Neeley passed away November 24, 1999, in Bountiful, Utah, at the age of 106 years. She was the second oldest woman in the state of Utah.

She was born in Clifton, Idaho, to Louis and Martha Howell Lamont on June 20, 1893, the fifth of 10 children. She married Peter E. Neeley on March 26, 1913, in the Salt Lake Temple; in 1920, they moved to Fairfield, Idaho, where they farmed and raised their family of seven children.She was a member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in her Church and community.

She was loved by many friends and family and will be dearly missed.

Elise is survived by one sister, Lulu Hanson of Pocatello, ID; three children, Blanche Auernig, Bountiful, Peggy (Robert) Sullivan, West Valley City, Burke (Jackie) Neeley, Nampa, ID; two sons-in-law, Wm. (Carolyn) Reese, Boise, ID; and Harry Redifer, Riverside, CA; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 18 great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 1964; four children, Edgar L. (Ted) Neeley, Idona Redifer, Gayle Butler, and Orpha Reese; and four grandchildren.

The family expresses their love and gratitude to the staff of Life Care Center for the tender care, patience and affection they showed to Elise in the years of her care.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at 9:30 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m., and again Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
