PRICE-Keith Hansen, age 70, passed away December 11, 1999, after a long struggle with many illnesses.
He was born on November 11, 1929, to James Clifford and Eva Murdock Hansen in Spring Glen, UT. He married Virgene Creamer on March 4, 1951, in Price, Utah; they were later sealed together in the Manti LDS Temple.Keith was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where he served as deputy sheriff for over 34 years. It was often said of Keith that he was a good cop, a good friend, and a good man. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the LDS Church. He served in many positions including several bishoprics and as a high counselor. Dad loved his fellowman and always had time to help those in need. He loved the beauties of nature, especially the Alaskan wilderness where he felt so close to his Creator. he also loved hunting, fishing, rafting, and exploring the deserts of the west.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Virgene; his children, Ann (Steve) Froebe of Sandy, and Mark Hansen of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren, Shane (Julie), Jeff, Chris, Scott, and Michelle Froebe; a sister, Sandra (Harry) Halamandaris of Chatsworth, CA; a brother, James (Andrea) Hansen of Arvada, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to thank all those who have provided love and support through Keith's long illness.
Friends may call for a visitation at the Fausett Mortuary in Price on Tuesday evening, December 14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the East Carbon LDS Chapel on Wednesday, December 15, at 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Price City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the Primary Children's Hospital or a favorite charity of choice in his memory.
