Robert Ren Jr. born June 4, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert and Anna Ren. He died December 5, 1999 due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis after a long courageous battle.

He married Paulette McMasters on April 15, 1967 in Pocatello, Idaho.In his healthy days he was very active. He was an avid golfer, skier, outdoorsman and he especially enjoyed backpacking in the Uintas. He loved to travel and spend much time with his family. He was always there to pick you up from the ski slope or correct your slice.

He attended the University of Utah, was a member of the Army Reserve and an accomplished accordion player. He worked many years for PM Engineers and most recently for Roberts and Schaefer. Throughout his life he acquired many dedicated and loyal friends.

He is survived by his wife Paulette; his children Chanteel and David Ballard; Brandan and Ryan Ren; granddaughter, Emma Jane Ballard; father, Robert Ren Sr.; brothers, Paul (JoAnn) Ren, Gary (Suzanne) Ren; nephews, Eric and Matthew Ren. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, sister-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

The family wants to express appreciation for all of the prayers and support from family, friends and caregivers.

Family and friends may call from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 1999 at St. Ambrose Church, 1975 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Catholic Mass to follow.
