OGDEN -- "It's All Done With Mirrors," featuring award-winning stage/film/TV star Anthony Zerbe in an evening of poetry and prose by e.e. cummings, will be presented Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Wildcat Theater of Weber State University's Shepherd Union building.

The performance is free of charge, but tickets are required due to limited seating. Call 626-6424 for reservations.Zerbe will conduct a weeklong residency, "Off the Page," at WSU, Feb. 22-26, inaugurating the Dean W. and Carol W. Hurst Artist-in-Residence program in the school's college of arts and humanities.

Designed to supplement the theater, communication and English departments, Zerbe's visit will help WSU students explore the process of moving text from the page to presentation. He will demonstrate and delineate his own technique, while working closely with students to merge acting with poetry.

He will also present a second free public performance at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday -- a combinedlecture/demonstration on creating poetry imagery entitled "Getting Off the Page," in the Marriott Allied Health building's Peery Lecture Hall.

Zerbe's week on campus will conclude with a free student showcase on Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wildcat Theater.

To reserve tickets for any of these performances, call 626-6424.

Among Zerbe's 25 major films are "Cool Hand Luke," "Papillon" and "Star Trek: Insurrection." His TV credits include guest-shots in such shows as "Bonanza" and "Murder She Wrote" and the mini-series, "How the West Was Won," "Centennial" and "North and South." On stage, he's performed five seasons at the Old Globe, where roles include Richard III, Macbeth and Iago, and "The Little Foxes" and "Terra Nova."
