CAFE AND TAPAS BAR OPENS IN DOWNTOWN S.L.

The new Martine Cafe & Tapas Bar, 22 E. 100 South, is open for lunch, dinner and take-out casual gourmet food. Tapas are small appetizer plates.The Salt Lake restaurant is part of the Pub Corp., which runs the Red Butte Cafe, Desert Edge Brewery and the former Peery Pub & Cafe.

The Martine Cafe specializes in sandwiches, chicken salads and pasta salads during the daytime. In the evening, the menu changes to a more Mediterranean/European fare.

The Martine Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch. Tapas and dinner are available Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Take-out is available during business hours. For information, call 363-9328.

UNISHIPPERS NOW OFFERS MONEY BACK AUDIT

Salt Lake-based Unishippers Inc. has formed a new division, Money Back Audit, which audits shipping invoices for large Federal Express customers, identifies billing discrepancies and applies carrier-approved credit to the customer.

Steven J. Nelson, Unishippers president and chief executive, said the new service saves customers an average of 3-6 percent on their bills.

INTEGRATED MEDIA FIRM NOW OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Metropolis Integrated Media, an integrated digital post-production facility, recently opened for business at 445 S. 300 East with the help of a Small Business Administration loan from Deseret Certified Development Co.

The new facility features two video edit bays, a sound and film insert stage, compositing room, three recording studios and a foley stage.

The five Metropolis partners -- John-David Brewer, Doug Havens, Ron Hill, Brent Marshall and Mark Nelson -- each previously operated production and post-production businesses independently.

ENGINEERING COMPANIES TEAM UP FOR TRAX WORK

EWP Engineering Inc. and Sunrise Engineering have been hired as a team by Utah Transit Authority TRAX for utility location on the new $480 million west/east light-rail project.

Ten of the firms' employees will be temporarily relocated to the TRAX Murray office.

EWP and Sunrise also worked together on the I-15 reconstruction project.
