Edward Lavern Myrick, age 86, passed away peacefully April 18, 1999 at the Holladay Health Care Center.
He was born August 26, 1912 in Mt. View, Wyoming to Horace and Viola Myrick. He married Twila Robinson in 1935, later divorced. One daughter, Tonya Lee Carter, Layton, Utah.Served in the U.S. Navy for two years and worked as a dedicated Greyhound Bus driver for 34 years in the San Francisco Bay area.
Married Grace L. Kay, November 30, 1954, Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in California until retirement and returned to Salt Lake in 1975.
He did a lot for his extended family and loved pampering his 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood Deville.
Having outlived all of his brothers and sisters, he is survived by Grace, his wife of 45 years, who lovingly nursed him at home during years of illness. Also his two stepchildren, Gary (Joan) Kay, Salt Lake City; Connie (Paul) Erickson, Fairfield, Calif.; six step grandchildren, other grandchildren, one great granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request there were no services and cremation was handled by Garner Funeral Home.
Rest in peace, Grandpa, thanks for all you did for us.
