COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Jacor Communications will pay $800,000 to buy WBZY-AM from WBZY Radio Sam of New Castle, Pa., the company said Monday.

The purchase is subject to approval by the Federal Communications Commission.Including pending deals, Jacor owns, operates or represents 241 radio stations, plus WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.

A subsidiary, Premiere Radio Networks, provides radio programming, including the talk shows by Rush Limbaugh, Dr. Laura Schlesinger, Dr. Dean Edell and Art Bell.

The merger of Jacor with Clear Channel Communications Inc. of San Antonio was approved last month by shareholders of both companies.

The $4.4 billion deal will form the nation's second-largest radio station operating company, with 450 radio stations in 101 U.S. markets, plus 20 television stations and outdoor advertising businesses in 25 countries.
