Herbert Earl Pembroke died of a stroke July 15, 1999 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at age 77.

Son of Richard Earl and Elizabeth Pembroke, and grandson of Herbert Pembroke. Founder of Pembroke Co. in Salt Lake City in 1883. He attended one year at Univ. of Utah, and received his B.S. at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA.He is survived by his son, Paxton Pembroke in Santa Margarita, CA; and daughter, Leslie Pembroke, San Diego. Two surviving sisters, Betty Winstedt, Oahu, HI and Ann Pembroke Cordoni, Edmonds, WA.
