SPANISH FORK -- Although police are still pursuing leads on the 1995 disappearance of Kiplyn Davis, the girl's family achieved a measure of closure Thursday with a memorial service at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
Davis was 15 years old when she failed to come home from Spanish Fork High School on May 2, 1995. She would have turned 20 Thursday, the day about 300 family members and friends gathered around a marker erected in Davis' memory."I'll always remember her as a good sister and friend," said her brother, Rory Davis.
Spanish Fork Police Lt. Carl Johnston said tips about what happened to Kiplyn Davis have been received as recently as last week. Police don't plan to close the case yet.
"We're still working the case actively and it's moving forward," Johnston said.
However, Kiplyn Davis' family wanted a place to go to remember her.
"I think they have a realization that their daughter is deceased," Johnston said.
