Raymond Charles Jones, age 91, passed away December 13, 2000 at his home in Taylorsville, Utah.
Born February 18, 1909 in Bingham, Utah, son of David William and Clara Parks Jones. Married Marjorie Elizabeth Malmstrom June 24, 1931 in the Salt Lake Temple; she preceded him in death May 16, 1991. He was an active High Priest in the LDS Church. Very active in Taylorsville sports, especially basket-ball. His favorite hobby was being generous to his grandchildren and golfing with his buddies. He loved to travel and was the founder and owner of Jones Dairy.
Survived by son, Marvell (Naomi) Jones and daughter-in-law, Claudia Jones; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey Steadman and Ardella Perrington. Preceded in death by son, Garry W. Jones; grandson, Marty Jones; siblings, Gladys Brown, LaVern North, David Jones, Clifford Jones, Coda McBeth, LaRue Linthicum.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Taylorsville Stake Center, 1400 W 4800 S. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
