Elder Jared Mont Pulham was called to serve on the other side, Friday, January 28, 2000, while serving a mission in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jared was born to Brian Mont and Cherie Powell Pulham on October 23, 1979 in American Fork, Utah. He was raised in Alpine and graduated in 1998 from Lone Peak High School and LDS Seminary. He was an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the American Fork Swim Team, winning several awards. In high school, he was a member of the chess team, A cappella Choir and was also an honor student. Jared was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many youth leadership positions. He was a meticulous worker and had taken on many diverse occupations during his young life. Jared cared deeply for people; he was a wonderful son and beloved older brother. Jared had a perfect relationship with his Mission president. At the time of his death, Jared was serving as District Leader and was described by his Mission president as humble, happy, obedient and willing to serve the Lord.Jared is survived by his parents of Alpine; brother, Nate; sisters: Cherylee and Sarah, and newborn baby brother, Jacob; great-grandmother Thelma Loader; grandparents: Mont D. and Betty Pulham and Bill J. Powell, step-grandmother Linda Powell; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death in his lifetime by his grandmother, Mary Lou Powell; great-grandparents, Lars L. Loader, Mont A. and Rhea Pulham, Myrl B. Norberg.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 4, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Alpine North Stake Center, 1125 East Alpine Blvd., Alpine. Friends and loved ones may call Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000 from 6-8 p.m. at the Stake Center and on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery.
