Here is a schedule of music concerts slated for the upcoming week:

GUSTER will play Club DV8, 115 S. West Temple, on Saturday, Feb. 26. The doors will open at 7 p.m. Admission will be at the door. Grammy-nominated solo artist Owsley will open the show.The band used to be called GUS, while its members -- bassist Adam Gardner, guitarist Ryan Miller and drummer Brian Rosenworcel -- were students at Tuft University in Boston, Mass. The band changed its name to Guster in 1995.

FLORIDA-BASED DISCOUNT will play at Kilby Court, 741 S. 300 West, on Monday, Feb. 28. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission at the door. The glam-laden, pop-punk band -- drummer Bill Nesper, guitarist Ryan Seagrist, bassist Todd Rockhill and vocalist Alison Mosshart -- has released its newest album, "Crash Diagnostic," on New American Dream Records.

THE ROAD KINGS will bring some rockabilly blues to the Zephyr, 301 S. West Temple, on Monday, Feb. 28. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Drummer Richie Vasquez, guitarist/vocalist Jesse Dayton and bassist Jason Burns have emerged from Texas -- home of ZZ Top, the late Stevie Ray Vaughan and Chris Duarte.

MACHINE HEAD and Reveille will hit Club DV8, 115 S. West Temple, on Tuesday, Feb. 29. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Bassist Adam Duce, guitarist Ahrue Luster, guitarist/vocalist Robert Flynn and drummer Dave McClain have been stomping around San Francisco for the past few years and recently released their latest album "The Burning Red," produced by Terry Date, who has worked with such music pioneers as Pantera, White Zombie and Soundgarden.

GRAMMY-AWARD NOMINATED CROONER BRIAN McKNIGHT will perform an intimate evening at Kingsbury Hall on Wednesday, March 1. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through Smith'sTix at 467-TIXX. The group 702 will open the show.

McKnight, honed his music as a songwriter and has written for such rhythm-and-blues artists as Boyz II Men. The singer has hit the charts again with his own song, "Back at One." Both versions -- live and studio -- of the video are in heavy airplay on MTV and VH1.
