Al Pacino, Ellen Burstyn and Harvey Keitel have been chosen to lead the legendary Actors Studio.

The three, all members of the theater's board, will replace Arthur Penn, who is leaving to become executive producer of the television series "Law and Order."

The workshop was founded in 1947 by actors Robert Lewis and Cheryl Crawford and by director Elia Kazan.
