Richard Dean Halliday, 63, passed away unexpectedly on May 30th, 2000 in Burnsville, MN.
He was born October 1, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vere C. Halliday and Erma Stevenson Halliday.He grad-uated from Olympus High School and attended the Univer-sity of Utah. On October 24, 1955, he married Beverly Allean Simmons and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Richard was an outgoing man and was able to use his love for people to forge a successful career in sales.
He was an avid golfer, bowler, scuba diver and outdoorsman, who loved boating with his grandchildren.
He was dedicated to his church and donated much of his time to helping others.
He is greatly love by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Cindi Farnworth (Michael); Richard L. Halliday (Kristina); Brent Halliday (Michelle); and Matthew.
He had eight grandchildren, whom he adored, Bradin, Camie, and Jeffrey Farnworth and Meggan, Collin, Caitlin, Logan and McCall Halliday.
He is also survived by his father, Vere; brothers, Ronald, Stephen, Michel and sister, Kathi Palmer, as well as his mother-in-law, Bernice Simmons, and brother-in-law, Jack Simmons.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment, Holladay Memorial Cemetery, 4900 Memory Lane.
