OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A former "Star Search" comedian accused in a string of sexual assaults on college campuses in the Midwest was sentenced Monday to 25 to 30 years in prison for one of the rapes.

Vincent Horace Champ had pleaded no contest to the 1997 rape of a University of Nebraska at Omaha faculty member.

The sentence will be served after Champ, 38, completes a 40-year term given to him last month for the rape of a student at Union College, in Lincoln, in 1997.

Champ, a former comedian on the college circuit, still faces two potential life sentences in Iowa on rape charges, and an attempted assault charge stemming from an attack at Pasadena City College in California.
