LOGAN, UT -

Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Ray s. Miller, 84, died Aug. 24, 2000 in the University Hospital (SLC) from injuries sustained in an auto pedestrian accident July 13, 2000 in which his wife, Dona Miller was killed.

Ray was born in Logan, Utah April 10, 1916 ot Soren Christensen and Lilly Jensen Miller. His father died when he was 5-years-old and he and his brother, Lloyd were raised by their widowed mother. He graduated from Logan High School and attended Utah State University. He married his sweet-heart, Dona Powell, that marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple. Most of his life he worked as a salesman beginning with the Coca-Cola Co. At age 44 he resigned as the District Manager

of Wonder Bread. He then started his own business in his home, that became RSM Food Service, Inc. It gave him great pleasure creating employment opportunities for others. He was a veteran of World War II serving on four USS vessels and finished out his service in Guam. Ray was an avid golfer and a member of the Logan Country Club. He was a lifetime member of the Logan Elks Lodge. He was a great supporter of USU sports and was a member of the Big Blue Club.

He is survived by his four children, Donna Rae (Dee) Christoffersen, Logan; Karen (Dennis) Taggart, Salt Lake City; Jolene (Lynn) Heaps, Logan; Scott (Cherilyn) Miller, Logan (now Smithfield); brother, Lloyd (Harriet) Miller, Wantagh, NY; there are 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and his brother, Cordell Evans.

Dad fought a valiant battle. The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the SICU at the University Hospital for their kindness and care of our father.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at 12 noon, in the Willow Valley LDS chapel, 825 North 200 West, Logan A viewing will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Logan City Cemetery with graveside Military Honors by the American Legion Post #7.
