Wayne Steven Gibson, 44, son of Denny and Shirley Board Gibson, died September 13, 2000 at his home of causes related to an addiction that Wayne has struggled with diligently for many years.
He was born Sept. 18, 1955 in Haw-thorne, California. For most of his life, he was raised in La Habra, California and 14 years ago Wayne came to Utah and has been working at Smith's Food. Wayne loved his job as a retail clerk and has accumulated many friends throughout the years. Wayne loved the outdoors. He was always thoughtful of everyone and he never forgot to call on your birthday. We know he is finally at peace and in a much better place.
He is survived by his two sons, Nathan Gibson, Brandenton, Florida; Lance Gibson, West Valley City, Utah; two brothers, Brandan Gibson (Debra), Sandy, Utah; Jeff Gibson, California; sister, Theresa Rood (Aaron), Draper, Utah; seven nephews and two nieces.
Wayne desired to be cremated and have his ashes spread over the beautiful outdoors. The family is having a celebration of Wayne's life at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State St., Midvale, on Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 at 4 p.m.
