Turner Syndrome Society of the United States will hold its annual conference in Salt Lake City Oct. 12-14. Among the special speakers will be Missy Marlowe, a 1988 Olympic gymnast and 1987 Pan-American Games gold medalist.
Turner syndrome is a chromosomal disorder that affects about 1 in 2,500 live female births. About 60,000 women, girls and babies are affected with the syndrome in the United States with about 800 new cases diagnosed each year.
There are separate agendas for children, pre-teens, teens and adults for the conference.
