This week's FIS Snowboard World Cup features the same four events as the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Games — the men's and women's halfpipe competitions and the men's and women's parallel giant slalom races. And they'll be contested at Park City Mountain Resort at the same venue sites as the 2002 Winter Games — the new superpipe at Eagle Race Arena and C.B.'s Run.

Listed below are the four events and their respective dates and times of competition this week. Also included are the medalists from last month's 2001 World Championships in Italy and the leaders in the current FIS (International Ski Federation) World Cup standings as well as U.S. snowboarders in the top 40).

Note that a number of top snowboarders — such as 1998 Olympic halfpipe bronze medalist Ross Powers of the United States — compete on the rival International Snowboard Federation (IFS) but will join this week's events at Park City.
