The International Society of Daughters of Utah Pioneers will mark its centennial with a two-day celebration April 11-12. Activities include:

April 11 — Utah State Capitol rotunda

1 p.m.: Festivities will kick off with official ceremonies, including a balloon launch of balloons filled with names of the first 100 members of the organization; opening of the group's time capsule and announcement of poetry and story contest winners.

3 p.m.: Musical entertainment by folk-group Fire on the Mountain.

4 p.m.: Fashion show featuring authentic pioneer clothes.

5 p.m.: Square dancing.

Ongoing events feature a quilt display, centennial product display, artifact display and serving of birthday cake.

April 12 — DUP museum, 300 N. Main

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Music, storytelling, craft demonstrations, slide presentations, museum tours and birthday cake.

April 12 — Assembly Hall, Temple Square

7 p.m.: Dramatic production honoring the centennial; DUP chorus and special guest speaker.
