LifeSoft Corp. merges with PetsMarketing Inc.

LifeSoft Corp., of Canton, Ohio, announced Monday it has merged with Salt Lake-based PetsMarketing Inc.

LifeSoft President Roger Kimmel said the company has changed its corporate name from LifeSoft to PetsMarketing and that NASDAQ has assigned the trading symbol PMRK as a result of the renaming.

Terms of the transaction were not announced, although Kimmel said the merger "was a stock-for-stock transaction" that became effective Friday.

PetsMarketing officers and directors have replaced the officers and directors of LifeSoft. The new directors and officers are W. Russell Smith III, president, chief executive officer and director; and Robert Cashman, secretary and director.
