Gladys May Webb Albean died May 11, 2001 at Highland Care Center, two days after her 91st birthday, from cancer.

She was born May 9, 1910 in Riverton, Utah to William Lafayette Webb and Dora Alice Brown Webb. She at-tended schools in Riverton, grad-uating from Jordan High in 1928. Gladys married Bonde M. Albean, June 25, 1936 in Tooele, Utah. He died November 30, 1995. She was a member of the LDS Church. At one time she owned and operated a candy store called the "Sweet Shop" in Garfield, Utah, where she made many good friends.

She was a kind and caring person, having taken care of her mother for 14 years before her death. She was also very helpful to family and neighbors. Gladys was a happy, fun person to be with. She moved to Salt Lake City in April 1949. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in many ladies' leagues in her younger years. She loved little children and working in her garden. She will be terribly missed by her niece and those who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bonde; brother, Elden Webb; and sisters, Marie Sowby, Viola Howell and Beth Wilding. Survived by brother Earl (Norma) Webb, Bluffdale, Utah; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at 12 noon at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 prior to services. Interment at Riverton City Cemetery.
