Frances T. Kearns, age 85, passed away May 11, 2001. Frances was born July 21, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Sylvester Tedesco and Harriet Leek Tedesco. She married Austin J. Kearns in March of 1933. She retired from Christensen Diamond Products after 31 years of service. She also worked as a volunteer at LDS Hospital for eight years. Frances was a member of the Utah Chapter of American Business Women.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband; step-son, Kenneth Kearns; and grandson, Kraig Kearns.
She is survived by her son, Roger Kearns, West Valley; his children, Toni Thompson; , Rick (Wendy) Kearns, all of West Valley; Traci (Jeff) Twiss, South Jordan; Kenneth's children, Karen (Peter) Asamuma, Escondido, CA.; Jeff Kearns, Lovelock, NV.; Becky (Dan) George, Magna; Brent (Sharon) Kearns, Las Vegas, NV.; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Bevens, Magna.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Facility for their kindness and loving care.
At her request, a very brief graveside service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Utah Chapter.
