TAMPA, Fla. — Diego Serna scored a pair of second-half goals as the Miami Fusion blanked the Tampa Bay Mutiny 4-0 Saturday night.
Miami (7-1-1) took a 2-0 halftime lead on goals by midfielders Jim Rooney and Chris Henderson. Serna added goals in the 67th and 89th minutes.
The league-leading Fusion defense has allowed only one goal in its last five games as Miami extended its unbeaten streak to a franchise record six matches. Tampa Bay (2-6-1) is winless in its last six.
CREW 3, RAPIDS 3: John Wilmar Perez and Brian West scored second-half goals as the Columbus Crew (2-3-3) rallied to tie the Colorado Rapids 3-3.
Perez scored in the 58th minute to make it 3-2 and West tied it in the 82nd minute when he put back a rebound from 14 yards. Brian Maisonneuve scored the first Columbus goal.
Colorado (2-6-2), which got goals from Marcelo Balboa, Ross Paule and John Spencer, had the best chance to score in overtime as Paul Bravo's shot hit the left post in the second minute.
FIRE 1, EARTHQUAKES 1: Zak Ibsen's goal in the 90th minute pulled San Jose into a tie with Chicago.
The Earthquakes capitalized on a poor defensive effort in the closing minutes by Chicago as Landon Donovan passed back to Ibsen, who lifted a 25-yard shot past Zach Thornton for his second goal of the season.
The Fire matched the MLS record 15-game home unbeaten streak held by San Jose. The Fire, who are 3-0-1 at Soldier Field this season, are 13-0-2 in their last 15 home games since losing to the New England Revolution on May 20, 2000. The tie snapped the Fire's eight-game home winning streak.
Andrew Lewis scored Chicago's goal in the 56th minute.
METROSTARS 2, BAYERN MUNICH 0: Clint Mathis and Alex Comas scored first-half goals to lead the New York-New Jersey MetroStars over European Champion Bayern Munich in an exhibition game.
Bayern Munich, which won the German Bundesliga title last weekend and the European Champions Cup on penalty kicks over Valencia on Wednesday, did not field its full starting lineup.
The German team did not get much sleep since Wednesday night's victory in Milan, Italy, and a celebration in Munich the following day, and appeared tired and listless.
Mathis opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Comas scored on header in the 43rd minute.
GALAXY 2, REVOLUTION 0: Defender Erza Hendrickson scored in the 77th minute and Cobi Jones added an insurance goal 11 minutes later as the Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the New England Revolution.
Goalkeeper Matt Reis made four saves for his second consecutive shutout as the Galaxy ended a four-match winless streak to improve to 4-3-2.
The Galaxy led 19-6 in shots and 8-4 in shots on goal. Sommer made six saves, all in the second half, as the Revolution's (3-7) three-match winning streak ended.
