- George Reay Jessen, age 72, died July 19, 2001.
He was born Feb 15, 1929 in Altonah to Robert Lee and Florence Eliza Reay Jessen. He married Beth Call on Sept 6, 1947 in Altonah and later solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 28, 1984. He was a lifetime rancher and worked for the US Forest Service over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beth, Altonah; children, Sherrie (Douglas) Holgate, Karolyn (Karl) Lund, Lee (Monica) Jessen, all Altonah, Scott Jessen, Pilot Rock, OR, Cindy (Brad) Jensen, Altonah; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Rosalee) Jessen; and sisters, Minnie Lue (Dee) Roberts, Bonnie (Terry) Brotherson. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Jeannie Reay Holgate, Rachelle Marie Jessen; and brother, William Dewey Jessen.
Funeral, Mon. 11 a.m. at the Lake Fork LDS Chapel in Mountain Home where friends may call Sun. 6-8 p.m. and Mon. 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Altamont Cemetery. Directors, the Hullinger Mortuary.
