BEND, Ore. — Mount Bachelor ski resort shareholders have approved a merger with Powdr Corp. following a delay by a lawsuit.

The shareholders, including Utah-based Powdr Corp., originally met June 15 but delayed the vote to study a $15 million lawsuit filed by Pape Group of Eugene, Ore., said Jim Petersen, attorney for Mount Bachelor.

Pape Group, led by former Mount Bachelor President Randy Pape, claims part of a merger agreement is unfair to those who hold multiple shares of stock.

The large majority of approval in a shareholder vote on Wednesday eliminated the last obstacle to the merger, Petersen said.
